Whether you’re looking for fresh peaches, blueberries, or blackberries, these are the places many River Valley families return to year after year.
One thing worth knowing before you go: both Peach Pickin’ Paradise and Renee’s Berry Garden rely heavily on Facebook to communicate with customers. That’s usually where you’ll find updates about crop conditions, opening dates, closures, and what is currently available for picking.
I always recommend checking their Facebook pages before visiting and making a quick phone call before you leave home. Weather, crop conditions, and availability can change quickly during the growing season
Peach Picking: Peach Pickin Paradise (Clarksville/Lamar)
2026 Update: Paradise lost its peach crop during the late freeze and will not be offering peach picking this season. I’m leaving this section in the guide because Peach Pickin Paradise has been a River Valley tradition for decades and I expect many families will be looking for it.
When people around here talk about peach picking, they’re usually talking about Peach Pickin Paradise.
Located outside Clarksville, this beautiful orchard has been part of summer for River Valley families for generations. If you grew up here, there’s a good chance you’ve either been yourself or know someone who has.
What I love about it is that it feels more like a family outing than a quick errand.
When you arrive, you’ll check in and learn which varieties are ready for picking. Depending on the time of year, there may be several different peach varieties available, each with its own flavor, color, and best use. Some are perfect for eating fresh. Others are favorites for baking or freezing.
The team will point you toward the rows that are ready that day, so you’re not wandering a huge orchard trying to figure it out on your own.
One thing first-time visitors are often surprised by is how easy they make the picking process. Baskets are provided, lined with bags, and packed up for you when you’re finished.
You can also drive your vehicle directly to the area where you’re picking. That’s especially helpful when you’re visiting with young children, grandparents, or a wagon full of peaches.
Speaking of wagons, if you’re bringing little kids, bring one.
Some of my favorite memories at Paradise involve pulling a wagon through the orchard, stopping to compare different peach varieties, and letting the kids help choose which peaches make it into the basket.
If you have time, pack a picnic blanket and a simple lunch. Going early in the morning before the Arkansas heat settles in can turn peach picking into a half-day family outing rather than a quick stop.

Blueberries & Blackberries: Renee’s Berry Garden (London)
Renee’s Berry Garden has become the place families think of when blueberry and blackberry season arrives.
Located in London, just a short drive from Russellville and only a few minutes off Interstate 40, Renee’s is one of those places that local families discover once and then return to year after year.
Berry picking can sound like a lot of work if you’ve never done it before, but Renee’s makes it easy. When you arrive, you’ll be given picking buckets that attach around your waist with a belt, leaving both hands free while you pick. It’s a small detail, but after filling a bucket of berries, you’ll appreciate not having to carry it around the entire time.
The farm itself is relaxed and family-friendly. If you’re visiting with younger children, there’s a sandbox where they can play when they’ve had enough berry picking. Any parent who has ever tried to convince a toddler to pick “just a few more berries” will understand why that’s helpful.
One thing that keeps people coming back is the owner. If you’re not sure where to start, ask. He’s happy to point visitors toward the rows that are picking best that day and share what’s looking good around the farm.
